Eskmuthe Rowing Club is a Musselburgh group set up to build, row and race St Ayles Skiffs as part of the Scottish Coastal Rowing Association. It is a community organisation open to all and new members are always welcome to come and try out this fun sport.
We launch our boat from the beach or harbour at Fisherrow but as we are restricted by tides can’t post regular rowing times. Each Sunday, tides permitting, we arrange social rows, which are aimed at involving those who perhaps want a taster session or existing members who prefer a short row, rather than long rows or training for racing.
New rowers are entitled to three free rows, thereafter membership is £15 per year and each session costs £2.
The club has just launched its second a second skiff, “Steedie Falconer,” thanks to funding from a Heritage Lottery Fund Awards For All grant.
